Mission: The Mason LIFE Profram, established in 2002, serves to provide young adults, whose disabilities have traditionally excluded them from higher education, with an inclusive university experience that will further their literacy skills and prepare them for employment and independent living in their communities. Responsibilities: Volunteer cooridnation, respond to volunteer management spreadsheet, asist in holiday party planning, help coordinate and plan Bailet's Clinic enrollment event, carry out administrative tasks for social work staff.
Qualifications: Computer and office skills, comfortable with phone conversations, Spanish language skills would be helpful, but not required, ability to work well independently and with other, prior office experience helpful.
Hours: Hours to be discussed, no Fridays

Mission: The Mission of the Technology Student Association is to prepare students for the challenge of a dynamic world by promoting technological literacy, leadership, and problem solving resulting in personal growth and opportunities.
Opportunities: Virginia TSA has opportunities for student service learners to help judge competitions at two conferences. One is held in March and the other in April. Students are paired with adult judges given criteria to base their scores on. The event in March is on a Saturday and the even in April in on Friday and Saturday.
Hours: less than 45/semester
Dates Needed: March 6, 2010 from 9am until 5pm
April 23, 2010 from 10am until 9pm
April 24, 2010 from 9am until 9pm
Requirements: At least 18 years old, at least 4 hours, lodging at discounted prices at the hotel at which the conference is held.
